About Hostel

The BGSCET has two separate hostels, one each for boys and girls, in its campus to cater to the needs of students from various parts of the country. Both hostel are provided with common kitchen and dining areas and is supported by a team of well experienced cooks. The hostel premises are cleanly maintained by a team of maintenance staff. Problems if any are attended immediately by the respective Wardens.

All rooms are provided with necessary furniture for comfortable living of students. Vegetarian food and snacks are served and the menu is prepared by the students themselves. Hostel committee under the guidance of the Principal, and senior professors monitor hostel discipline, policies and other issues related to hostels. Leaving the hostel without prior permission from concerned authorities and late entry are not entertained and the parents are informed immediately.

R & R Of Hostel Committee

  • To plan and monitor the maintenance of all the infrastructure facilities concerned with the Hostel
  • To supervise all facilities/amenities and their up keep, receive complaints from students, redress of grievances etc.
  • To control, counsel the behaviour of students in the hostel, monitor study schedules and patterns,
  • To plan for all the infrastructure facilities as required
  • Responsible for proper maintenance of the lodging and boarding facilities of the hostel and for smooth running of the hostel
  • Responsible for the receipts and the payments of the hostel

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Hostel

  • Inmates should attend Daily Prayer at temple at 7 PM along with Warden
  • Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the Those who indulge in such activities are strictly punished as per Government/university rules.
  • Day scholars and other students are not allowed into the hostel
  • Inmates are not expected to stay in the hostel during college working hours. If they have to stay back in the hostel during that period they have to obtain permission from the warden
  • Cases of illness and sickness should immediately reported to the resident warden/warden for necessary action
  • Inmates shall be in their rooms by 8.00 pm &Attendance for inmates will be taken at the same time
  • No inmate is allowed to disturb other students by staying in others room after 8 pm.
  • Inmates should not arrange any function or meeting or gathering within hostel
  • Inmates are responsible for proper use of building furniture and other accessories. Any loss or damage to the hostel property should be borne by the inmates
  • Students should not stick any posters/papers or write on the walls of the hostel.
  • Hostel management does not own any responsibility for the loss of property left in the rooms unlocked or due to inmates negligence
  • Inmates are strictly forbidden from using personal gadgets like immersion heaters, hot plates, However appliances like personal computers are given permission on specific request
  • Inmates should always keep their belongings under lock & key and also lock their rooms whenever they go
  • Furniture and other items should not be moved out of the
  • Wilful damage to furniture, electrical and other fittings will be recovered at the double cost from the individuals if identified otherwise recovered collectively from the inmates of that
  • Inmates are not permitted to keep firecrackers/explosives or dangerous weapons or instruments that can cause serious injury to

  • Inmates of the hostel are not allowed to make any complaint as a body or submit any group representation. However individual representations addressed to the warden alone will be looked

Hostel Facility

BGSCET Campus has 300 capacity Girls hostel and 300 capacity Boys hostel with facilities like RO Mineral Water, Laundry Service, Hot Water, Back-up Power, Wi-Fi, First-Aid, Round the clock security and many more.

  • Application for admission to the hostel must be made in the prescribed form before the commencement of the academic session.
  • Preference would be given to the outstation students for allotment of hostel accommodation.
  • The student shall give two references together with their addresses: one of them should be of a guardian.
  • Students are permitted to meet parents/guardian only in the lounge after obtaining permission from the warden.
  • Visiting hours of the hostel shall be during weekends and holidays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • No visiting hours on working days.
  • Student, who seeks admission in the hostel, shall abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel, as laid down by the Management.
  • He / She shall give an undertaking in writing, endorsed by the Parent/Guardian that she will abide by the rules and regulations set forth from time to time.
  • The hostel reserves the right to take any disciplinary action including cancellation of allotment of hostel accommodation for any violation of hostel rules and regulations.
  • Any matter not covered by the above rules will be dealt by the Management.
  • Hostel Fee is around Rs. 75,000/- to 85,000/- per year including boarding and lodging.
